Inside the locker room

Having spent four hours on the golf course staring at Mt Fuji most of the time it was nice to get back in the clubhouse and hit the locker room for a Japanese bath. For those who haven't been to a golf club in Japan I thought it would be interesting to take some pictures of the locker room and explain a bit about the setup. I actually stayed the night at the course so was able to take these pictures when no-one was around, hence the lack of bodies.
This is the basic setup of the room in most courses I have been to in Japan. A couple of rows of baskets for you to put your clothes in whilst you are changed and in the bath area.

The bath area for women at golf courses is normally quite a bit smaller. Although more women are playing golf recently, in the past the men easily outnumbered them.

I really love onsen. It's such a nice combination with golf.

Nothing like a good onsen. Thanks for stopping by.

My only caution is against using onsen razors to shave. I don't know where they get them from, but even in top quality onsen, I have had terrible scratchy shaves from their razors on the couple of times I have tried.

Same here, exactly same.. I recommend to bring your own!

Thanks for the heads up on this one. Better not to play with blunt razors.
