Omotesando Illumination Bokeh
Christmas bells strapped to the trees that line Omotesando-dori.
Taking a close look at some of the small lights mixed in with the greenery. The spot lights above with varying colors are coming from car headlights, tail lamps etc.

The lights seemed colder this year. Maybe it was the switch to eco friendly LED lights?
Japanese taxis always look so clean, their paint work shining, and the little logo marks on top of the car lit up make the whole scene look like an inviting bar waiting for you to enter and have one last drink on the way home after a long night out.
Tiny bells and the lights from the road behind.
Emporio Armani with a nice pink, red glow at night.
The Dior red building glowing in the night shadows.
Dior chose a nice shade of red for their building in Omotesando.
A warm ride home at this time of night would be welcomed by most. Japanese taxis on a cold evening can be very welcoming.
People were leaving christmas messages on a tree outside the main Omotesando Hills complex.
People walking past the Soft Bank building heading down towards the illuminations.
A great way to check out the illuminations is to load up your HUMMER and roll down Omotesandori. Why didn't I think of that?
Looking from the Harajuku Station end down towards the crossing with Meiji Dori and then further up to Omotesando.

In my city decorations are being put up in place just in these days. Maybe to save some cash on denki bills. Either way we don't have such beautiful decorations, nor stores playing along with colors.

The stores in Omotesando sure know how to impress with design, color and light. The fashion business using all its skills.

You are welcome. I think a lot of people were glad to see the illuminations brought back to this area of town :)

GORGEOUS pictures - am stealing some for my little acer's wallpapers. Nagisa Oshima has had a good run - I'd like some more contemporary images to look at for a while :)

So beautiful. I think I could walk around for hours in circles there without getting tired or bored. But funny... I didn't know they had Hummers in Japan :O

Great photos ! Speaking of illuminations, I liked the ones at Yebisu Garden Place. They've installed a large Baccarat crystal chandelier in a glass cabinet, and it looks beautiful illuminated at night.

I think I'll go and check that out soon. Thanks for info.
